GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) is Rockstar Games' rumored sequel to GTA 5 (Grand Theft Auto V). GTA 6 will likely be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and (If like Grand Theft Auto V) PC at a later date.</b>
While GTA Online was Rockstar Games' immediate focus following the release of Grand Theft Auto V, the studio was already considering possibilities for GTA 6.
"We’ve got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do,” according to Rockstar president Leslie Benzies, “We don’t know what GTA 6 will be, but we’ve got some ideas."
A leak to Tech Radar indicated that development has begun on GTA 6
Rockstar has also confirmed development on GTA 6, and they have stated that they would like to create one Grand Theft Auto game with all previous cities from the series. In an interview with Digital Trends, Rockstar North head Leslie Benzies said he envisions players being able to travel back and forth to revisit places they explored in past games.
“Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas,” Benzies said. “In that context re-imagining Vice City would be very interesting.”
As of March 29, 2016, Rockstar hadn't settled on a location. They had previously scouted Tokyo, but this is not a confirmed location for GTA 6
It is rumoured all over the web that rockstar games will be releasing GTA 6 in 2018 - 2020,
Rockstar Games recently announced that the official release date will be announced at this years E3 Conference
So does this mean that we can expect GTA 6 anytime soon? PROBABLY NOT here is why
1.As with GTA 4 & 5 Rockstar will probably wait another year or two atleast before releasing the next GTA As we all know GTA 4 was released April 29, 2008 GTA 5 was released September 17 2013 so they waited 5 years after relaseing GTA 4 to release GTA 5.... so if the release date for GTA 6 will actually be 2018 that would be 5 years after GTA 5 Make Sense?
2. GTA ONLINE was released October 1st 2013 for old gen consoles and November 18 for next gen consoles.. ONLINE is the most famous part of GTA 5 so of course rockstar is still milking it for all the money they can
3. With rumours flying around about rockstars plan to "Give Up" on GTA 5 Rockstar Games recently stated that these accusations are not true that there will be "atleast another 2 Years" However they are planning to take away the ability to transfer your GTA Online character and progress from old gen to next
